Your tasks

The NPI team ensure the timely delivery of high quality optical switch products to customers, covering product and process development, quality, automation, volume scalability, and cost reductions; as well as interfacing with key suppliers, partners, customers and other engineers and managers within HUBER+SUHNER. The focus of the role is to help scale production of our photonic switch platform for next generation fibre optic communications networks. The role will require close working with the design and manufacturing teams in Cambridge UK and in Poland to ensure the smooth transition of new products from design to manufacturing.

Your profile

With more than 5 years’ experience in high reliability communications products, prefaced with a degree in an engineering subject or physics, you will be highly organised by nature and be capable of working autonomously, as well as contributing to the team.  In addition you will be able to communicate effectively with multi-disciplined engineers & managers.

You will have had exposure to the requirements capture and development of automated test solutions for new products, and have influenced and driven the development of processes and procedures to enable the efficient introduction of new products to manufacturing. Experience in fibre optic communications products, and analysing test results to international standards, would be an advantage.
