Your tasks

In this role you will be central to the development of cutting edge optical switches enabling the disaggregation of complex data networks worldwide. You will be the communication lead internally and externally, having autonomous responsibility for multiple projects simultaneously. You will be an advocate of the development process and be instrumental to shaping its adoption within HUBER+SUHNER Polatis. This role is positioned in a cross functional multi-specialised team environment, including electronics, optics, mechanical design, software, production and quality;  it reports directly into the Senior Project Manager who leads the Project Engineering Team.

Your profile

To be successful you’ll need to have had approximately 3 years’ exposure to project management of multi-disciplinary teams and be well versed managing complex projects within a structured development process environment. Exposure to a product design environment will be apparent on your CV.  You may have begun your career as a Project Controller or as a Technical Lead and subsequently moved into project management, but you will certainly be comfortable managing a small group of customer facing projects with the opportunity to be involved in internal improvement initiatives. You will be familiar with traditional and modern project management principles (Agile/Lean) with a proficiency in suitable tools like MS Project. You will be a collaborator with excellent organizational skills, focused on driving and motivating engineering teams to deliver on commitments; and at ease with presenting project information, communicating effectively at all levels within the organization.
