Your tasks

General part:
•Grow our business with his/her product portfolio, by defining / adapting key strategies / monitoring progresses.
•Transfer market- or customer demands into specifications for new products and services.
•Provide to our R&D teams precise and high quality project orders for product development which can be transferred efficiently into Technologies and Products which fulfill the market requirements.
•Initiate, lead and / or supervise product development initiatives.
•Prepare and execute product launches globally in a structured and professional manner, ensure product availability.
•Implement and maintain an effective product life cycle management and in particular permanently evaluate COGS and Gross Margin of his / her products and initiate appropriate measures.
•Deliberately remove obsolete products from the market & manage consequences.
•In close collaboration with market management, lead Product focused Sales Promotion Initiatives in Sales Organizations, at customer sites and exhibitions.
•Provide sales support material (product presentations, selling guides, product flyers and catalogues, product samples and display material).
•As a backbone for the whole organization implement and keep technical product data base (PDM) updated.
•Evaluate IP value in our products and initiate appropriate measures.
•Develop and implement a Product Strategy fitting into the Product Line- and Division Strategy and being aligned with the different Market Strategies.
•Provide clear Product Guide lines to Application Engineers and support them as required.
•Use processes as given by the GMS and actively contribute to process improvements: e.g.: INN
•Initiate corrective actions when design related nonconformance of product occur, support QA.

Individual part:
•Responsibilities as per description of main purpose of the team (see above)
•Implement and maintain an effective product life cycle management and in particular permanently evaluate COGS and Gross Margin of his / her products and initiate appropriate measures.
•Deliberately remove obsolete products from the market & manage consequences.
•Contribute actively to: shape, challenge and implement/cascade the RF Cable and Cable Assembly business strategy & business plan by pushing for and communicating answers to the questions of Why, What, How, Who, When, What if…
•Provide product leadership and sustainable innovation / differentiation
•Support  over entire product life cycle by systematically addressing also non-technical product features to maintain differentiation (e.g. continuous improvement & cost-down incl. appropriate management of changes, purchasing, logistics & availability, added services)
•Support the interface and partnering with customer, suppliers, and third parties
•Manage, protect and defend intellectual property including strategically coordinated In/Out-Licensing approaches in cooperation with Head Product & Process Development Cables and Head PMD
•Strong interfacing within PMD and other functions in RF division (e.g. MM, Operations, Global Sourcing, MarCom)
•Ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal processes where applicable and actively contribute to HUBER+SUHNER process improvements & simplicity with a customer benefit focus
•Ensure appropriate Change and Knowledge Management
•Leverage on interdivisional cross-fertilization and cross-divisional / cross-regional approach
•Strongly support Quality 1st Mentality
