Your tasks

Besides combining and tuning existing products from all 3 technologies into customized high-end products.
Solution Engineering also integrates 3rd party products where deemed appropriate to generate superior value for customers. The Design Engineer realizes new product hardware by modifying existing products and components, and executes technical work packages in the frame of customer development projects. These activities include design of piece parts and assemblies under the guidance of the project leader / solution engineer. The Design Engineer will support feasibility studies, create technical drawings in CAD, and support setup of initial manufacturing processes and product release including mapping into ERP systems (SAP, PDM).

It is essential to collaborate with the key stakeholders: Solution Engineers, Sales, Field Application Engineering, Process Engineering & Product Managers from all technologies, Market Managers and Marcom.


Your profile

You will hold a Bachelor or Master degree in physics, electrical / mechanical / optical engineering or equivalent qualifications and be able to easily demonstrate your experience and previous success relevant to this role. Proficiency is required in design of new products on CAD systems in 2D & 3D, experience in the design, layout and calculation of turned parts, plastic parts, sheet metal, as well as of precision mechanics and optics.
  
To be successful, you will be an accomplished design engineer with a good understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
