Your tasks

General engineering support to the Railway team, for the integrated technology business stream (Connected Mobility), supporting the companies role in leading the technology, engineering, sales and service in the Digital Rail field.
New product development and design of bespoke electro-mechanical devices. Being actively involved in all aspects of the design and development cycle, pushing projects through from concept to manufacture.
Putting together an effective design package that meets the client requirements and ultimately leading to a successful delivery of a HUBER+SUHNER manufactured product or solution.
Assisting the operational team by generating the engineering documentation package (drawings / work instructions / test specifications etc.) including face to face support to enable them to produce products on time and on budget.
Supporting the Sales team on customer visits both in the pre-sales phase and once the project has been secured.
Providing cost calculations and prices for the Transportation Team to ensure future work is won at or above pre agreed margin levels.

You will hold qualifications that support delivery of this this the role and be able to easily demonstrate your experience and previous success relevant to this role.

Computer Literacy, use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Create and convey written information accurately and coherently using appropriate vocabulary. This includes letters, reports, forecasts, customer visit reports, email and monthly reports.
Engineering degree in an Electrical / Mechanical discipline or equivalent qualification / experience.
3D CAD design experience (Catia V5) and other design tools.
Experience in dealing with system projects / team player.
Accurate, thorough, consistent, pro-active and assertive.
Innovative problem solving and product design skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with international rail standards and specifications is advantageous - Experience of working with SAP / PDM preferred
Ability to work to under pressure and to tight time schedules
Readiness to travel and take trips abroad to increase the company's presence with customers and suppliers
