Senior Process Engineer

Your tasks
Summary of Key responsibilities Process development Lead role in developing new corporate approved business centers from inception to completion Acting project coordinator for new technologies and materials being introduced to the business Evaluate efficiency, effectiveness, quality and safety within manufacturing operations Collaboration with the Product Management and Development department including global sites Assessment of products and assembly processes in terms of their feasibility and reproducibility Development and validation of new, reliable assembly processes and technologies Development, modification and procurement of assembly tools Preparation of documentation for assembly and production processes and associated training materials Implementation of new products at various production facilities Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations Transfer duties Direction of product and processes transfers, including translation of production documents and training of personnel Technical support for global production facilities Completion of international projects relating to strategic initiatives, new technologies, quality problems and continuous improvement Continuous improvement Introduction of measures for continuous product and process improvement Introduce, utilize and sustain Lean concepts within operations Facilitate improvement workshops or other collaborative constructs to produce favorable project outcomes in a rapid fashion Evaluation and procurement of production facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs Management of or support for rationalization projects Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer |
Life cycle support and quality problems Collaborate with product design engineering staff to transition new product development and prepare necessary measures to deploy for successful mass production Technical support for global production facilities to assist with supply and quality problems Support for the quality assurance team to help rectify quality problems as quickly as possible Miscellaneous Mentoring junior level process engineers, including international team members and affiliates Confer with personnel to prepare designs or operational plans Further training to meet personal and role-specific needs All other relevant duties as assigned |
Your profile
Education: BS Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related field Advanced Degree preferred Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics/interconnect, aerospace or other manufacturing industries requiring high-precision Minimum of 5 years of experience in a process engineering role Minimum 1 year design experience with 3D and/or 2D platforms Intermediate level mechanical experience Demonstrated experience in working with international colleagues and partnerships Skills/Knowledge: Understanding with AS9100, QA9000, ISO/TS16949 or EN9100 Expertise with production and assembly technology, particularly with tight tolerances Analytical thought processes and systematic working style in a global environment Explicit, cogent and lucid communication skills in both internal and external organization venues. Advanced skills in project management and project portfolio management Advanced IT skills Experience in design and/or application of industrial automation is preferred Well-founded RF skills preferred Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Personal Qualifications: Professional approach to dealing with other cultures (adaptable) Ability to handle change effectively Customer focus and an ability to deal with customers and peers with tact and diplomacy |
