System & Test Development Engineer

What will you do? Your tasks:

• System&Test Development Engineer supports the tasks and goals of the PMD organization within the IND RF Components and Assemblies development group (part of Cable Connectivity RF Department) with an emphasis on Medical System development,
• Implementation of development projects in accordance with the description of the HUBER + SUHNER innovation process,
• Contribute actively in shaping and optimizing H+S’s medical systems development group in Poland,
• Participation in the process of developing system solutions in collaboration with product management and in strong alignment with strategy & business development and / or customers. Focus will be on medical market,
• Performing activities on technical work packages as part of product development projects. These activities include devising and performing various testing tasks incl.:

• Perform mechanical design and simulation tasks, as well as hands-on tasks in the process of development of new products, testing and production processes,
• Overtake responsibility for developing concepts and documents regarding production and quality tests in accordance to requirements of ISO 13485,
• Actively supporting or leading activities to make RF based systems for various medical applications and customers ready for efficient production,
• Participate in creating/maintaining documents needed for the production process in ERP systems, e.g. data sheets, BOM, overview drawings, part drawings, control plan, tolerance chain analysis, etc.

Your profile:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical or Precision Engineering/Mechatronic Systems Engineering&Development or equivalent qualification,
• Proven ability to devise/create commercially relevant technical systems and implement them in production workstreams and ERP systems (SAP, PDM),
• Good understanding of industrial manufacturing and assembly processes, including approaches for making of functional samples, prototypes and series production,
• Generalistic knowledge of measurement technologies and of Medical-Market-specific Verification / Validation / Compliance Procedures for various Systems,
• Proficient in using 2D & 3D CAD systems (preferably of CATIA) in the process of designing new products,
• Work experience in Medtech industry or similar is a plus,
• Specific knowledge of measurement methods for electrical and RF measurements is a plus,
• Experience in applying the ISO 13485 medical standard, e.g. FMEA, MSA, SPC, etc. will be regarded as a big advantage,
• Good understanding of and capability to interpret results obtained from various software-based simulation and computational tools incl. FEM simulations,
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of RF/microwave technologies and products (connectors, cable assemblies, antennas, systems) will be regarded as a plus,
• Working experience in international, cross-cultural and cross-functional teams, as well as in remote teams,
• Good communication skills in an R+D environment, open minded, good presentation skills,
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
