Sales Manager

Your tasks

General part:

  • Identify customer needs and key criteria. Persuading customers that our products will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
  • Building and maintaining a close relationship with customers
  • Tie customers with supply contracts
  • Ensure that HUBER+SUHNER is always appropriately represented at the customer
  • Prepare and submit customer quotations and negotiate deals
  • Continuously acquire market information. Always ensure that customer data is available to all colleagues and in the relevant systems in H+S. Gain, provide and share relevant customer and market information within the HUBER+SUHNER group.
  • Search for new customers that could benefit from HUBER+SUHNER products
  • Perform technical presentations to customers and taking part on trade shows

Individual part:
  • Promote and sell all products and technologies offered by HUBER+SUHNER
  • Support sales Engineers whenever it is judged to be necessary to accomplish major account strategic goals.
  • Highlight opportunities or threats/issues in their market sector
  • Understand the market segment, key players and application / products
  • Co-ordinate the overall implementation of agreed market plans and initiatives
  • Help identify potential new customers/ projects for other Regional Sales Managers within your market segment
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities and communicate successes.
  • Ensure sales and order targets are maintained
  • Anticipate, plan for and measure business conditions occurring within market
  • Responsible for presenting market forecast
  • Have a full understanding of the status of your market at all times including, but no limited to:
  • Open quotes
  • Open orders (forward order book)
  • Customer payment issues
  • Overdue orders
  • Annual price agreements
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process
  • Report monthly on Orders & Sales activities for agreed periods and market / customer intelligence, together with forecasts for the forthcoming 12 months rolling orders and sales
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures
  • Carry out when required sales, cost budget, investment budget etc.
  • Comply with Authorisation limits as per relevant ‘Disbursement and Authorisation Policy”
  • Carry out any reasonable duties as and when required.

Your profile

General part:
  • Relationship Skills
  • Market segment experience
  • Knowledge of relevant customer/market specific quality standards (e.g. ISO TS 16949, IRIS, EN9100, TL9000)
  • Quick to understand customer’s applications
  • Basic commercial skills
  • Strong target orientation
  • Self-motivator

Individual part:
  • Excellent general technical knowledge of HUBER+SHUNER products
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Excellent planning and implementation skills
  • Good communication and administration skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook / MS Teams
