IT Project and Requirements Engineer

Your tasks

We are currently looking for experienced IT Project and Requirements Engineer. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. Additionally, the role includes developing project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies, as well as monitoring project progress and reporting status to stakeholders.
The role also involves capturing, analyzing, validating, and documenting business needs and expectations for ICT-based solutions. It requires aligning stakeholder requirements, modeling business processes, and translating them into system requirements. A key part of the position is elaborating ICT solution requirements with a focus on feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
The position involves work across 2 manufacturing plants (Nawojowa Góra and Pisary).

Key tasks:

• Supporting communication between business and IT departments
• Analysing the overall interrelationships of the software engineering solution to be created in terms of processes, structures, data and user interfaces
• Identifying and resolving conflicting goals among users and stakeholders with regard to technical requirements
• Recording, analysing, validating and documenting the needs and expectations of clients with regard to ICT solutions using standardised procedures
• Transforming the business needs, requirements and wishes of users and stakeholders into system requirements, taking into account economic, organizational and technical boundary conditions
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders and presenting the results of this communication
• Testing technologies and strategies for problem solving by means of feasibility studies and prototypes
• Presenting and evaluating alternative solutions taking into account technological and economic aspects
• Formulating functional and non-functional requirements for ICT systems to be created or adapted with the help of requirement models
• Identifying and documenting the system scope of the ICT solution
• Creating and checking the requirement specifications for the ICT solution
• Ensuring needs-based and cost-effective system designs by participating in system design reviews
• Supporting the implementation of the specified systems
• Define and review the test objectives in collaboration with users and stakeholders; Collaborate on the creation of test cases; Planning, monitoring and evaluation of user tests; Determining residual risks after the tests have been executed; Evaluate and validate the ICT solution together with clients and stakeholders
• Process change requests and prepare the corresponding basis for decision-making (change request management)

Your profile

• University degree in computer systems design or computer science or equivalent experience with 5 years work experience
• Experience with the development process and a mastery of project management techniques
• Multiple years direct experience managing applications and/or systems management
• Proven experience in overseeing the development, and implementation of software solutions.
• Hands-on experience with automated software management tools
• Further required skills include fluency in programming languages e.g. Java, C++, or Python, familiarity with software engineering principles
• Wide knowledge of system analysis and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
• Capability in handling uncertainty and challenges
• Proficiency in project management and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures
• Proficiency in proposing approaches that aid stakeholders in gaining confidence to make significant decisions
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

• Strong customer-service orientation
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Keen attention to detail
• Willing and flexibility to travel
